Spider-Man: No Way Home

Spider-Man: No Way Home is a 2021 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, co-produced by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. It is the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and the 27th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film was directed by Jon Watts and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. It stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker / Spider-Man alongside Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Jamie Foxx, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Benedict Wong, Tony Revolori, Marisa Tomei, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire. In the film, Parker asks Dr. Stephen Strange (Cumberbatch) to use magic to make his identity as Spider-Man a secret again following its public revelation at the end of Far From Home. When the spell goes wrong because of Parker's actions, the multiverse is broken open, which allows visitors from alternate realities to enter Parker's universe.
A third MCU Spider-Man film was planned during the production of Homecoming in 2017. Negotiations between Sony and Marvel Studios to alter their deal—in which they produce the Spider-Man films together—ended with Marvel Studios leaving the project in August 2019, but a negative fan reaction led to a new deal between the companies a month later. Watts, McKenna, Sommers, and Holland were set to return, and filming took place from October 2020 to March 2021 in New York City and Atlanta. No Way Home features several actors reprising their roles from non-MCU Spider-Man films directed by Sam Raimi and Marc Webb, including previous Spider-Man actors Maguire and Garfield. The involvement of both actors was the subject of wide speculation and numerous leaks despite the efforts of Sony, Marvel, and the cast to conceal their involvement.
Spider-Man: No Way Home premiered at the Fox Village Theatre in Los Angeles on December 13, 2021, and was theatrically released in the United States on December 17, as part of Phase Four of the MCU. It received praise from critics for its story, direction, action sequences, emotional weight, performances (particularly those of Holland, Dafoe, Molina, Tomei, Garfield, and Maguire), and the cast's chemistry. The film grossed $1.916 billion worldwide, surpassing its predecessor as the highest-grossing film released by Sony Pictures. It became the highest-grossing film of 2021, the sixth-highest-grossing film of all time, the highest grossing Spider-Man film, and set several other box office records, including those for films released during the COVID-19 pandemic. The film received a nomination for Best Visual Effects at the 94th Academy Awards, among numerous other accolades. An extended version of the film, subtitled The More Fun Stuff Version, was theatrically released globally in September 2022, while a sequel is in development.

Saani Kaayidham

Saani Kaayidham (transl. Muddy Paper) is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language action crime film directed by Arun Matheswaran. The film stars Keerthy Suresh and director Selvaraghavan in lead roles. Siddharth Ravipati produced the film while the musical score and cinematography were handled by Sam C. S. and Yamini Yagnamurthy respectively. In the film, a generational curse comes true when Ponni and her family face a senseless act of injustice. She and her brother Sangaiah decide to seek justice.
It was released on Amazon Prime Video on 6 May 2022 and received positive reviews from critics and audience.

It follows the romance of Rambo with Kanmani and Khatija.

Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal

Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal (transl. Two loves in a breeze) is an 2022 Indian Tamil-language romantic black comedy film written and directed by Vignesh Shivan. It stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Samantha. The soundtrack album and film score were composed by Anirudh Ravichander. In the film, The life of Rambo, an unlucky man, changes when he finds love. However, the only problem is, instead of one, he falls in love with two women. The rest of story deals with how Rambo comes out of this tricky situation and with whom he finally gets settled.
Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal was released theatrically on 28 April 2022. It received mixed to negative from critics and audience, who praised the main cast's performance (particularly those of Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha and Nayanthara), background score and soundtrack but criticized the screenplay, climax and length. Despite the negative reviews the film grossed over ₹70 crore (US$8.8 million) at the box office and became successful.

Doctor is a 2021 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film written and directed by Nelson. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan who also produced it under his banner Sivakarthikeyan Productions, whereas KJR Studios served as the co-producer and distributor. The film also stars Priyanka Arul Mohan and Vinay Rai while Yogi Babu, Milind Soman, Redin Kingsley, Archana Chandhoke and Deepa Shankar appear in supporting roles.
The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander with cinematography performed by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by R. Nirmal. Doctor was released in theatres on 9 October 2021, following multiple delays related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film received critical acclaim from critics and audiences alike with praise towards its black comedy, cast performances (particularly Sivakarthikeyan and Vinay Rai), action sequences, cinematography, soundtrack, musical score, story, characterization, writing, direction and other technical aspects, and grossed ₹100 crores in worldwide box office and became a major critical and commercial success.

12th Man is a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language mystery thriller film directed by Jeethu Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor through Aashirvad Cinemas, with a screenplay by K. R. Krishna Kumar and based on a story by Sunir Khetarpal. The film stars Mohanlal, with Unni Mukundan, Saiju Kurup, Anu Sithara, Anusree, Sshivada, Chandhunath, Anu Mohan, Rahul Madhav, Aditi Ravi, Priyanka Nair and Leona Lishoy. This film is loosely based on the core idea of 2016 Italian film Perfect Strangers.
The original background score and a song was composed by Anil Johnson. Principal photography took place from August to October 2021 lasting 48 days and post-production went up to March 2022. The film was shot extensively at a custom-built mansion in a hillside resort in Kulamavu, Idukki district, and the remaining in Ernakulam. 12th Man was released directly on Disney+ Hotstar on 20 May 2022.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a 2022 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics featuring the character Doctor Strange. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the sequel to Doctor Strange (2016) and the 28th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film was directed by Sam Raimi, written by Michael Waldron, and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange, alongside Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. In the film, Strange protects America Chavez (Gomez), a teenager capable of traveling the multiverse, from Wanda Maximoff (Olsen).
Doctor Strange director and co-writer Scott Derrickson had plans for a sequel by October 2016. He signed to return as director in December 2018, when Cumberbatch was confirmed to return. The film's title was announced in July 2019 along with Olsen's involvement, while Jade Halley Bartlett was hired to write the film that October. Derrickson stepped down as director in January 2020, citing creative differences. Waldron and Raimi joined the following month and started over, adding elements of the horror genre that Raimi had worked with previously and making Maximoff the villain of the film, continuing her story from the Disney+ miniseries WandaVision (2021). Filming began in November 2020 in London but was put on hold in January 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Production resumed by March 2021 and concluded in mid-April in Somerset. Shooting also occurred in Surrey and Los Angeles.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness premiered at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on May 2, 2022, and was released in the United States on May 6, as part of Phase Four of the MCU. The film received praise for Raimi's direction, the visuals, musical score, production design, cinematography, and Olsen's performance, with criticism drawn to the screenplay. The film grossed $955 million worldwide, making it the fourth-highest-grossing film of 2022.

Nenjuku Needhi (transl. Justice for the Heart) is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language political drama film directed by Arunraja Kamaraj and produced by Boney Kapoor. A remake of the 2019 Hindi film Article 15, it stars Udhayanidhi Stalin, Aari Arujunan, Tanya Ravichandran, and Shivani Rajashekar. The film revolves around an upright police officer launching an attack against the caste system in India after caste-based discrimination and other crimes are dismissed
Principal photography began in April 2021 and wrapped that December. Nenjuku Needhi was released theatrically on 20 May 2022, and received positive reviews, with praise for Udhayanidhi's performance and story. The film completed 50 days of its theatrical run.

Produced by Lyca Productions and Sivakarthikeyan Productions, it stars Sivakarthikeyan, S. J. Suryah, Samuthirakani, Priyanka Arul Mohan and Soori. The film revolves around a reluctant engineering student repeatedly clashing with his college's discipline mentor, while still trying to discover his passion in life and prove his eligibility to his father.
The film was officially announced in 2021 with production taking place between February–December 2021. It was shot extensively across Tamil Nadu including Coimbatore, Chennai, Pollachi and Udumalaipettai, while a song was filmed in Agra. The film features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography and editing by K. M. Bhaskaran and Nagooran respectively.
Don theatrically released on 13 May 2022 and received mostly positive reviews from critics and audiences. The film grossed over ₹100 crores at the worldwide box office and became successful.
